About
Dr Nabil Shaukat is a Lecturer in Aerial Robotics at the University of Leeds with expertise in aerial and underwater robotics, multi-sensor fusion, and Bayesian navigation. He designs robust autonomous systems for GPS-denied and infrastructure-challenged environments, including verified Trustworthy ROS-based control software, energy-efficient swarm robotics, and high-speed control for advanced vehicles. Alongside his academic work, he has industry experience leading automation projects, managing cross-disciplinary teams, and founding rapid prototyping and innovation labs to support deep-tech product development. He has worked with industrial partners on system integration, control architecture, and real-time robotics solutions. With a PhD summa cum laude in sensor fusion for robotic positioning and credentials including PMP and IEEE membership, he brings a strong mix of technical depth, practical engineering, and applied innovation.
